Your puppy’s early weeks are the most formative time of their life ….. the magical “Wonder Weeks.” During these precious weeks, their personality and lifelong habits begin to take shape. Imagine your puppy’s curious eyes looking up at you, ready to learn and trust your every move. You have the golden chance to guide your young puppy into becoming the “Dog of Your Dreams.”

With puppy training, that dream dog becomes a joyful reality. Early training lays the foundation for obedience and confidence, while preventing future issues like dog anxiety or aggression. Picture replacing chewed shoes and sleepless nights with calm snuggles and a pup who listens to your every word.

Our Wonder Weeks Puppy program is a specialized board and train (B&T) program for puppies under 6 months. For older puppies, other B&T programs include Wonder Dog and Greatest Dog in the World. Each of our training programs are tailored to dog’s stage of growth and learning abilities.

Puppy Training Basics

Puppy dog training begins as early as 8-weeks-old. House training includes puppy crate training and puppy potty training, which are two essential skills to develop harmony at home.

Crate training not only speeds up potty training, but it also helps your pup (and you) sleep through the night. A calm puppy curled up peacefully in their crate is more than adorable. Crate training is a proven way to prevent future dog anxiety.

Our training also addresses puppy biting, barking, jumping and other unwanted behaviors. We transform your chaotic home life into calm serenity. Extensive holding and petting allows you to tame your wild child puppy.

Foundation obedience skills include focus, come when called and self-control. These foundation skills are taught through positive, engaging methods. A puppy’s first look of eye contact isn’t just cute; it’s the spark of true focus and connection. COME becomes more than an obedience skill; it’s a life-saving response to stress. And self-control means your puppy learns how to rest calmly, instead of bouncing off the walls.

Because of our limited weekly enrollment, every puppy receives individualized attention, ensuring faster progress and lasting results.

Puppy Socialization

Early socialization, before 6 months of age, is absolutely crucial for appropriate puppy development. Without it, puppies may grow into fearful, anxious and/or aggressive dogs. Through friendly puppy dog play, we help prevent these negative issues before they begin.

Our training environment is 100% residential with no kennel runs or outside cages. Instead, puppies live in a comfortable home alongside a professional trainer and friendly, well-trained dogs. It’s immersive, round-the-clock training, like summer camp for puppies, full of play, structure and life lessons.

Social play also taps into the natural “monkey see, monkey do” learning process. Imagine your pup watching a calm, confident dog sit politely. And then, your puppy mimics that same behavior on their own. It’s the fastest, most natural way for dogs (and humans) to learn.

Next Steps …

After completing Wonder Weeks Puppy training, your dog is ready to continue their journey into adulthood. Beyond 6 months, training expands to include loose leash walking without dog leash pulling and leash reactivity. Once dogs develop great leash skills, off-leash reliability is easier to develop.

Training starts with that tiny ball of fur learning to sleep through the night and potty outside. Soon, puppy develops into the confident dog walking calmly by your side. Every training step builds toward the lifelong joy of living with the dog of your dreams.
