Training Services
Private Sessions
- One-on-one training sessions with you, your dog and our dog trainer.
- You can schedule a single private session or multiples.
- A great cost friendly option to learn basic dog training techniques. Plus get answers to your dog training questions. Great for DIY dog trainers needing a little help.

- Unlimited Private Sessions included in Board and Train Programs.
Group Sessions
- Regular group meet-ups in North Asheville. Goals of group sessions include leash training with distractions and off-leash human and dog socialization.
- Group Sessions are for dogs 6 months or older.
- Regular Group Sessions are included in our Board and Train programs.
- Group Sessions can be added to our Basic Programs.
Good Dog Program
- Learn basic training techniques for puppies or dogs.
- Includes 3 Private and Follow-Up Sessions with our dog trainer.
- Group Sessions can be added to this program.
Jumpstart Program
- This program starts with a half-day immersion training session for your puppy or dog.
- Working directly with our dog trainer jumpstarts training progress.
- Includes 3 Private and Follow-Up Sessions with our dog trainer.
- Group Sessions can be added to this program.
Online Training Options
- We offer dog and puppy training through virtual Private Sessions.
- Our online puppy training courses and books are available in our online store.
- This program is ideal for: long-distance, limited mobility, DIY dog trainer, etc.

Residential Board and Train
Wonder Weeks Puppy
- Residential board and train (B&T) program for puppies between 2-6 months.
- Covers all basic puppy training: potty training, crate training, manners, dog socialization, foundation obedience.
- Program includes Private Sessions, custom Training Videos and long-term Dog Trainer Support.
- After your puppy’s first board and train week, additional and future B&T weeks are discounted.
- Wonder Weeks Puppy graduates receive discounts on our adult dog training program (Dog of Your Dreams).
Dog of Your Dreams
- Residential B&T program for dogs 6 months and older.
- After evaluating your dog’s training skills, a customized dog training program is designed for your specific needs.
- Program covers basic to advanced dog training. Training issues include leash training, loose leash walks with distractions, self-control and off-leash training. Dog leash pulling and leash reactivity are commonly solved with this program.
- Program includes Private Sessions, Group Sessions, custom Training Video and long-term Dog Trainer Support.
- After your first board and train week additional weeks or future sessions are discounted.
Greatest Dog In The World
- 6-week residential B&T program designed for puppies and dogs.
- Great puppy training option. Start young puppies from 8 weeks through adulthood.
- Great dog training option for advanced dog training needs like service dog dog training and therapy dogs.

Lucky Dog Training Asheville is independently and locally owned. We strive to provide our dog and human clients with a safe, positive training environment. We offer some unique features that you will not find with other training programs.
Residential Board and Train
Immersion training accelerates learning progress. Puppies and dogs live in a comfy, cozy, private North Asheville home with our dog trainer and Muttley Crew. Absolutely NO kennel runs or outside cages.
Custom Training Videos
Personalized training videos are included in our board and train (B&T) programs. Your dog’s customized training videos are permanently located in our Online Video Library.
Online Video Library
Includes puppy training and dog training videos filmed since March 2020. Every B&T client receives full access to our Video Library.
Long-Term Trainer Support
All our B&T clients receive long-term dog trainer support. We encourage contact via texts, emails and phone calls. We quickly answer your dog training questions.
Muttley Crew
They are the epitome of dogs training dogs. These trained dogs serve as playmates, teachers, role models and training assistants. They provide extensive off-leash socialization fun for all client pups.
Expert Dog Trainer
Dr. K has a doctorate in evolutionary biology, life science teaching experience plus extensive animal handling and training expertise. These combined form The Dog’s Perspective.
Puppy Training
For puppies 2-6 months. Focus on basic foundation skills and critical socialization needed for ideal puppy development.
Dog Training
For dogs 6 months or older. Cover basic to advanced dog training, on and off leash training, dog anxiety, separation anxiety, therapy dog and service dog training.
